Intramurals / Athletic Involvement

All students will be involved annually in the Annual Presidential Fitness testing program and the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart programs.  In addition, students in the primary grades (P-3) will focus on large motor skills and fitness and during intramural week will showcase their abilities with a competitive games demonstration.

In the lower middle grades (4-6) intramural sports will be introduced.  Intramural sports competitions will be held once each quarter and the sports involved will be determined by student interest.  In the upper middle grades (7-9) organized league based sports teams will be developed on a competitive level to compete with other local middle schools.  For student-athletes who do not possess the skill level or interest to survive the competitive cuts on a sports team, intramural competition will continue at this level.

All middle school students (grades 4-9) must either participate in quarterly intramural competitions or organized league sports.

The school will absorb all costs of the sport and will provide at no charge bus transportation to all events for competitors as well as supporters.
