Philosophy

The philosophy of the Academy is a
combination of three factors:

Specialists are the best Educators. Universities, High Schools, and recently Middle Schools have adopted this approach to education. Clearwater Academy begins with this approach in Preschool.

Children are individuals. They talk, dress, think and live differently. Education must be directly related to the current level of the individual.  We emphatically believe every child can and will learn if the instruction is specifically tailored to their individual learning style and baseline competencies.

Method of instruction is of vital importance to retaining and assimilating information. The Academy will match each individual to his appropriate style of learning which will result in an engaged student who actually assimilates the material offered. Parents are the ultimate authority regarding their child's method of instruction. Some parents will recognize their child relates well to the Steiner Method, others to deductive reasoning, still others to the Doman Method. No one method is right for all individuals. However, each individual deserves to be instructed utilizing the method of instruction best fitting that individual.

Therein lies the philosophy of education at the Academy: 

SPECIALISTS EDUCATING INDIVIDUALS AT THEIR RESPECTIVE LEVEL UTILIZING THE METHOD OF INSTRUCTION MOST COMPATIBLE WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL'S STYLE OF LEARNING
